confused for one another because of their strikingly similar looks. Some people think that the dogs belong to
the same breed because of the similar size in features. However, these dogs are two distinct breeds
that share the same ancestor and, thus, have similar looks. So, to someone who’s not familiar with dogs,
it’s easy to mistake them for one breed. In this video, I will go through the main

two in common, they are several differences that make them completely different from one
another. In this part of the video, I will go through
each of the differences in detail. Let’s begin. The Origins: Frenchies and Boston Terriers The Boston Terriers originated in the United
States and are a cross between the English Bulldog and the White English Terrier. The origin of French Bulldogs or Frenchies
aren’t so clear. The dog originated from a small-size English
Bulldog that was imported to France and crossed with several small breed dogs. The Standards: Boston Terrier Vs French Bulldog According to the breed standards, the Boston
Terrier should weigh between 10 to 25 pounds. These dogs are long-legged, muscled, small-boned,
and athletic. Boston Terriers have a wrinkled face, flat
cheeks, and upright ears that are pointed at the tips. The average lifespan of this dog breed is
11 to 15 years. French Bulldogs weigh between 22 to 30 pounds
on average and are short, compact, muscled, and heavy boned dogs. Frenchies have heavy wrinkles at the nose,
rounded cheeks, and upright ears that are pointed at the tips. The average lifespan of French Bulldogs is

Terrier Boston Terriers have a friendly, playful,
loyal, energetic, alert, intelligent, and expressive temperament. On the other hand. French Bulldogs have a patient, loyal, playful,

share a common ancestor, the English Bulldog, both the dog breeds are similar to each other

both the dog breeds are a result of the breeding of the English Bulldog with a smaller dog
